Hebrew Speaking Guide in Moldova, Eduard Dux

Hebrew Speaking Guide in Moldova

My name is Eduard Dux, and I'm a journalist, translator, interpreter, and Hebrew speaking tour guide. For many years I've worked in journalism, researching local history, and gaining an in depth familiarity with Ukraine and Moldova. Today I offer Hebrew tours in Moldova, combining history, culture, nature, Jewish heritage sites, and a direct encounter with the special people and places of the country.

I studied journalism in Tel Aviv and began my professional path at the "Kol Israel" radio station. I later studied at the Institute of Journalism at Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv. Over the years I've written in Hebrew, Russian, and Ukrainian for various media outlets, including Yediot Achronot, ynet, and Vesti.

In 2011 I completed a tour guide course through Ukraine's Ministry of Tourism, and since then I've also worked in guiding trips and organizing roots journeys.

My Experience in Moldova

In 2023 I began covering Moldova extensively and publishing articles about the country, its sites, and the special stories hidden within it. In 2024 I received a two year journalist accreditation from Moldova's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and focused especially on writing about tourist sites with a Jewish connection.

In addition to the articles I published on ynet in Hebrew, I published more than 12 articles on the Vesti site in Russian about tourist sites in Moldova. For an article I wrote about Comrat, the capital of Gagauzia autonomy, I received from Mayor Sergey Anastasov the title of "Best Journalism of 2024."

Alongside my journalistic work, I began guiding guided trips in Moldova. Since then I've introduced the country to dozens of Israeli travelers, who came to see not only the famous sites, but also lesser known places, Jewish stories, villages, wineries, small towns, and areas with a unique cultural character.

In 2025 I continued working as a journalist and as a tour guide in Moldova and Ukraine as well.

Hebrew Tours in Moldova

As a Hebrew speaking guide in Moldova, it's important to me that every traveler get to know the country through its story. During the tours I combine the knowledge I've gathered as a journalist with my familiarity with the land, the people, and the local history.

The tours can suit individuals, couples, families, and groups. The route can be tailored by interests, length of stay, and desired pace.

A walking tour of up to two hours in central Chisinau, getting to know the main sites, streets, buildings, and the stories behind Moldova's capital.

A Family Outing Near Chisinau

A family activity including fishing, a petting zoo, pony riding, and archery. This is a route suited to families who want to combine nature and activities during their vacation.

A Tour of Bender and Tiraspol

Accommodations for a Religious Audience on a Trip in Moldova

Every tour can be specially tailored for a religious audience. Of course, when combined with Hebrew tours in Moldova, we can include Jewish heritage sites, synagogues, Jewish cemeteries, community stories, and roots journeys, while taking into account the needs and character of the group.
